Ngāti Whanaunga, Ngāti Tamatērā, Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga , Ngāti Hine and Nga Puhi ki Te Tai Tokerau.
Has worked in the industry since 1985 when he made his first documentary and in 1988 was part of the Kimihia trainee production scheme with TVNZ where he further honed his craft as producer and director before moving to the newly established TV3 in 1990. He worked as an independent Director before joining the Maori Television Service start up team as Executive Producer in 2003.
He recently returned to the independent sector but over the last 8 years has played a leading role in developing and managing the programming requirements of Māori Television and the Te Reo channel. He says this has been personally an extremely rewarding and fruitful experience and allowed him a unique perspective of the Māori broadcasting sector.
He looks forward to developing and articulating a strong strategic response from the independent sector.
